Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth, expand market presence, and manage customer relationships. The role involves solution-based selling of capital equipment, special purpose machines, and industrial automation products.
Key Responsibilities
Drive and achieve sales targets in the assigned territory
Develop new business opportunities with OEMs and industrial clients
Manage key accounts and ensure repeat business
Handle techno-commercial discussions, proposals, and negotiations
Coordinate with internal teams for customized solutions
Track market trends and competitor activities
Preferred Industry Background
Experience in metallurgy industry is preferred
Candidates from capital equipment or industrial machinery sales can also be considered
Qualifications
B.E or B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field
MBA or higher qualification is preferred
5 to 8 years of experience in B2B industrial sales
Key Skills
Experience in capital equipment, special purpose machines, or machine manufacturing
Knowledge of test and measurement and calibration instrumentation
Understanding of sensors, torque and force systems, and data acquisition
Exposure to OEMs, automotive industry, and calibration labs
Familiarity with ISO and NABL standards
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
Techno-commercial understanding with ROI-driven selling approach
Ability to manage large territories independently
Strong communication skills in English and regional languages
