A billing engineer for a real estate developer manages contractor billing, quantity surveying, and cost reconciliation, focusing on RA bill preparation, site measurement verification, and BOQ tracking.
Key Responsibilities
- Bill Preparation & Certification: Prepare and verify Running Account (RA) bills, final bills, and subcontractor invoices. As noted by Kuber Group of Companies, “Prepare, verify, and process RA Bills, Contractor Bills, Client Bills, and IPC (Interim Payment Certificates).”
- Measurement & Quantity Surveying: Take physical site measurements, check execution against drawings, and maintain Measurement Books (MB).
- BOQ & Rate Analysis: Review Bill of Quantities (BOQs), conduct rate analysis for extra/deviated items, and prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).
- Reconciliation & Cost Control: Handle material reconciliation, compare budgeted costs with actual consumption, and generate MIS reports.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with site execution teams, project managers, and finance departments to clear audit trails and process payments.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 8+ years of hands-on experience in real estate or residential/commercial construction billing.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD, ERP software, and advanced MS Excel.
- Core Competencies: Strong contract knowledge, attention to detail, and analytical capabilities.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
