Primary Function of Position
We are looking for a Product Manager to lead Intuitive’s multiport instrumentation and advanced technologies portfolio in India—covering robotic stapling, energy, suction-irrigation, and next-generation accessories that power the da Vinci ecosystem.
This role is built for a product leader who is energized by complexity, grounded in clinical understanding, and passionate about enabling surgeons to deliver better outcomes. You will be at the center of India’s rapidly transforming surgical landscape, shaping how advanced instrumentation is introduced, adopted, and scaled across the country.
As part of a mission-driven, cross-functional team, you will bring together insights, data, clinical expertise, and business strategy to accelerate the impact of da Vinci technologies in one of our most important growth markets.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Advanced Technology Product Management
- Support execution of technology launches, from regulatory clearance through commercial rollout, in partnership with Global and Asia-Regional teams.
- Drive go-to-market plans for assigned products in partnership with Global and Asia-Regional teams.
- Manage product lifecycle activities, including pricing inputs, positioning, and supply planning coordination.
- Translate customer needs into in-market recommendations, drawing on input from surgeons, KOLs, OR teams, and reprocessing teams.
- Develop value-driven product messaging and validation materials.
2. Business & Market Analysis
- Conduct opportunity assessments, demand forecasting, and pricing analysis with Finance.
- Feed voice-of-customer insights into the product roadmap.
- Analyze product adoption and utilization data to identify areas for improvement.
3. Product Launch Execution
- Work with regional partners to refine positioning, claims, and messaging.
- Coordinate field readiness and rollout logistics.
- Track post-launch engagement and share insights with the broader team.
4. Clinical & Customer Engagement
- Act as a connector between product teams, sales, and the clinical environment.
- Build clinical grounding by observing robotic and laparoscopic procedures and engaging with surgeon champions.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform near-term priorities.
5. Value Quantification (QTI)
- Build clinical, economic, and operational value stories that articulate the impact of da Vinci technologies.
- Contribute to evidence validation with reference sites, KOLs, and proctors.
- Track competitive dynamics and share findings with the team.
6. Surgical Society & Ecosystem Engagement
- Strengthen Intuitive's presence in national clinical societies and academic platforms.
- Contribute to society-led education initiatives and evidence-generation activities.
Required Knowledge Experience & Skills
- 8+ years of professional experience, including 4+ years in product marketing/management or technical sales within medical devices.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work across sales, clinical, regulatory, and regional teams.
- Experience contributing to multi-stakeholder initiatives in complex environments.
- Experience with medical device product launches in India.
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to translate data into insights that inform messaging and decisions.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging with senior clinicians.
- High learning agility, comfort with ambiguity, and a bias for action.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Tableau and Salesforce is a plus.
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative market research methods.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or related discipline (required).
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
Working Style
- Comfortable working in operating rooms and clinical/surgical environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%, including international travel.
- Position based at Intuitive India Headquarters – Bengaluru.
