Job Description
Logistics Group of America (LGOA) is hiring an experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage our US Freight Brokerage operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, business growth, customer satisfaction, carrier management, and team performance while ensuring smooth day-to-day freight operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the US Freight Brokerage team.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Freight Brokers, Team Leaders, Dispatchers, and Operations Executives.
- Develop and execute operational strategies to improve revenue, margins, and productivity.
- Acquire new shippers and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Build and expand a reliable carrier network.
- Negotiate freight rates with shippers and carriers to maximize profitability.
- Monitor shipment movement to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
- Resolve operational issues, customer escalations, and carrier disputes.
- Track and analyze KPIs including revenue, loads moved, margins, customer retention, and team performance.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management.
- Coordinate with Sales, Carrier Sales, Dispatch, and Accounts teams for seamless execution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement operational best practices.
- Stay updated with US freight market trends, pricing, and capacity.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in US Freight Brokerage Operations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Operations Manager, Team Lead, or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of US transportation, freight brokerage, carrier management, and dispatch operations.
- Proven experience in shipper acquisition and account management.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with DAT, Truckstop, Sylectus, and other load boards.
- Hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and CRM platforms.
- Knowledge of carrier compliance, freight documentation, and claims handling.
- Advanced reporting and operational planning skills.
- Experience in process improvement and team development.
