We are seeking an experienced educator who can make learning Computer engaging and practical. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the CBSE curriculum for middle school and the ability to teach foundational coding, software applications, and digital literacy in an interactive way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging computer lessons for Classes 6, 7, and 8 in alignment with CBSE guidelines.
- Practical Training: Conduct hands-on practical sessions in the computer lab, ensuring all students get adequate screen time and guidance.
- Skill Development: Teach fundamental concepts including MS Office, basic programming (like Scratch, HTML, or basic Python), internet safety, and cyber ethics.
- Assessment: Evaluate student progress through regular practical and theoretical assessments, assignments, and projects.
- Lab Maintenance: Oversee the day-to-day smooth functioning of the computer lab and report any hardware/software issues to the IT department.
- Student Engagement: Encourage a logical and problem-solving mindset among students.
- Parent-Teacher Interaction: Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with parents during PTMs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Applications/Computer Science (BCA/MCA, B.Sc/M.Sc IT, or B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science).
- Teaching Certification: B.Ed. is highly preferred/mandatory as per CBSE norms for TGT roles.
- Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience teaching Computer to middle school students, preferably in a CBSE school.
- Skills: Excellent command over spoken and written English.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Patience and a student-centric approach to teaching.
- Up-to-date with the latest trends in educational technology.
