A store assistant supports daily retail operations by assisting customers, maintaining store cleanliness, restocking shelves, and processing sales transactions. They act as the face of the business, requiring excellent communication and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. [1]Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Welcoming customers, answering product-related questions, and resolving complaints.
- Sales & POS Operations: Operating cash registers, processing payments, handling returns, and issuing refunds accurately.
- Stock Management: Unpacking deliveries, rotating merchandise, restocking depleted shelves, and conducting regular inventory checks.
- Store Maintenance: Sweeping floors, cleaning counters, organizing product displays, and removing safety hazards to keep the shop floor tidy.
- Loss Prevention: Monitoring the sales floor to deter theft and safeguarding company assets.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous retail or customer service experience is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, active listening, and problem-solving abilities.
- Technical Skills: Basic math and familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems or inventory software.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift or move heavy merchandise.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
