Key Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Excellence & Optometry
· Perform comprehensive eye examinations, refraction, and binocular vision assessments.
· Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, refractive errors, and dry eye syndromes.
· Conduct advanced diagnostic testing (e.g., OCT, Visual Fields, Topography, A-Scan/B-Scan) and interpret results accurately.
· Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and low-vision aids.
· Identify cases requiring specialized medical or surgical intervention and refer them appropriately to ophthalmologists.
· Mentor and guide junior optometrists and clinical support staff.
2. Patient Counselling & Education
· Act as the primary counsellor for patients advised for surgeries (e.g., Cataract, LASIK, Glaucoma, Retina procedures).
· Explain surgical procedures, lens options (Premium IOLs, Toric, Multifocal), risks, benefits, and post-operative care in clear, reassuring, and non-technical language.
· Address patient anxieties, manage expectations, and help them make informed decisions regarding their treatment plans.
· Provide detailed quotes for surgeries and packages, ensuring transparent communication regarding costs.
