Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Phlebotomist to join our diagnostic team in Ahmedabad. The candidate will be responsible for blood sample collection, patient handling, sample labeling, and maintaining quality and hygiene standards during the collection process.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients using standard venipuncture techniques
- Handle sample collection for pathology and diagnostic testing
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and transportation of samples
- Maintain patient comfort and professionalism during sample collection
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Coordinate with laboratory staff for timely processing of samples
- Maintain records and documentation related to sample collection
- Assist in home collection services, if required
Required Qualifications
- DMLT / MLT / B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology or relevant field
- Certification in Phlebotomy will be an added advantage
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience as a Phlebotomist in diagnostic centers, hospitals, or laboratories
- Freshers with good practical knowledge may also apply
Required Skills
- Good venipuncture and sample handling skills
- Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures
- Good communication and patient handling skills
- Ability to work in rotational shifts
- Attention to detail and hygiene standards
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Candidate should be presentable and professional
- Prior experience in NABL-accredited laboratories preferred
- Local candidates from Ahmedabad preferred
