Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Drone Engineer with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in UAV/drone development, testing, integration, and maintenance. The ideal candidate should have experience with drone hardware, flight controllers, embedded systems, and mission planning. The role involves assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing drones for commercial and industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, configure, and integrate UAV/drone systems.
- Install and calibrate flight controllers, GPS modules, ESCs, motors, and sensors.
- Perform flight testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Diagnose and repair drone hardware and electronic components.
- Develop and execute test plans for drone performance and reliability.
- Work with firmware and software configurations for autonomous flight.
- Support mission planning using drone ground control software.
- Analyze flight logs and identify performance improvements.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electronics, and software teams during product development.
- Ensure compliance with aviation safety standards and company SOPs.
- Prepare technical documentation, maintenance reports, and test reports.
- Stay updated with emerging drone technologies and industry regulations.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of UAV architecture and drone components.
- Experience with Pixhawk, CubePilot, DJI, Ardupilot, or PX4 flight controllers.
- Understanding of brushless motors, ESCs, Li-Po batteries, GPS, IMU, telemetry, and RC systems.
- Familiarity with Mission Planner or QGroundControl.
- Basic knowledge of embedded systems and electronics.
- Experience with soldering, PCB troubleshooting, and hardware integration.
- Ability to analyze flight logs and resolve technical issues.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Basic programming knowledge in Python or C/C++.
- Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of computer vision or AI-based drone applications.
- Familiarity with GIS, mapping, or photogrammetry software.
- Experience with autonomous drone operations is preferred.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
