Job Description - Finishing Site Engineer
Job Summary : Sankalp Group is seeking a detail-oriented Finishing Site Engineer to oversee high-end interior and exterior finishing works across our landmark residential and commercial project. The successful candidate will ensure all finishing activities meet our hallmark standards of impeccable quality, luxury design, and timely delivery. In this role, you will lead on-site execution, coordinate with specialized subcontractors, and play a key role in transforming raw structures into award-winning, premium spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all interior and exterior finishing works, including flooring, false ceilings, painting, wall cladding, waterproofing, joinery works, façade finishes, and MEP final fittings.
- Ensure all finishing activities are executed in accordance with approved architectural drawings, interior layouts, project specifications, and Sankalp Group’s quality standards.
- Monitor daily site activities and ensure work progresses as per project schedules and milestones.
- Manage subcontractors, site supervisors, vendors, and labor teams to achieve execution targets and timely project completion.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and prepare snag/punch lists for corrective actions before project handover.
- Coordinate material planning, requisitions, and inspections to ensure timely availability of finishing materials while minimizing wastage.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and interior design drawings to ensure accurate execution on site.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, designers, and project management teams to resolve technical and execution-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, housekeeping standards, and site cleanliness during finishing activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and maintain proper documentation of site activities.
- Monitor productivity, workmanship quality, and adherence to project timelines.
- Assist in final project inspections, client walkthroughs, and handover processes.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of finishing materials, construction methods, and modern construction chemicals.
- Expertise in flooring, tiling, stone work, painting systems, false ceilings, wall finishes, cladding, and interior fit-out works.
- Excellent understanding of architectural and interior finishing details.
- Strong quality control and inspection skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings accurately.
- Effective subcontractor, vendor, and labor management capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and basic AutoCAD.
- Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining premium quality standards.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and construction management tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and finishing standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
