About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Purchase Engineer to lead the procurement function for a manufacturing organization. The role involves end-to-end supply chain management, vendor development, cost optimization, and ensuring efficient procurement operations aligned with business objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field
Additional certification in Supply Chain / Procurement is an advantage
Required Skills
Strong experience in procurement within manufacturing / pharma / equipment industry
Expertise in vendor management and contract negotiation
Strong knowledge of ERP systems
Understanding of import/export documentation and compliance
Strong analytical and cost optimization skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Strong decision-making and strategic thinking mind-set
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end procurement of raw materials, components, machinery, and services
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals
Manage ERP-based procurement systems for purchase orders, inventory tracking, and reporting
Conduct vendor development, evaluation, and performance management
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with suppliers
Perform market research and cost analysis to ensure cost-effective sourcing
Ensure timely availability of materials to support production schedules
Maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers
Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply risks
Optimize procurement processes for efficiency and cost savings
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal, and ethical procurement standards
Manage import/export documentation and global sourcing activities
Drive budget planning, cost control, and procurement forecasting
Implement risk management strategies to avoid supply chain disruptions
Prepare procurement reports, MIS, and performance dashboards
Lead and mentor the purchase/procurement team
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹850,000.00 per year
