Skylark Drones is looking for an AI and Automation Engineer to join the Founders Office and work closely on high-impact, organization-wide problems. This role is ideal for someone who sees inefficiencies everywhere and cannot help but automate, optimize, and improve how things work.
You will have the freedom and responsibility to identify opportunities where AI, automation, and intelligent systems can create meaningful value across teams. The focus is not on maintaining existing systems, but on building scalable solutions that improve speed, accuracy, and decision-making across the organization.

Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and repetitive workflows across the organization and design automation-first solutions

Build and deploy AI-driven or rule-based automation to improve operational, business, and technical processes

Work closely with founders and cross-functional teams to understand problems and translate them into scalable solutions

Prototype quickly, test ideas, and iterate based on real-world usage and feedback

Design systems with scalability, reliability, and long-term impact in mind

Integrate internal tools, third-party platforms, APIs, and data sources to create end-to-end automated workflows

Ensure automation solutions are well-documented, maintainable, and secure

Take ownership of solutions from ideation to deployment and continuous improvement

Strong problem-solving ability and a mindset focused on automation and efficiency

Experience building automation using AI, scripts, workflows, or low-code and no-code tools

Comfort working with APIs, data pipelines, and system integrations

Ability to learn new tools, frameworks, and technologies quickly

Experience working with AI and machine learning tools or platforms

Exposure to automation frameworks, RPA tools, or workflow orchestration systems
