Job Summary
The security guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the company's premises, employees, visitors, assets, and materials. The role involves monitoring entry and exit points, conducting security checks, maintaining records, and responding to emergencies or security incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
- Verify ID cards, gate passes, and authorisation documents before allowing access.
- Maintain visitor registers, vehicle movement records, and security logs.
- Conduct regular patrols of the plant, office, warehouse, and surrounding areas.
- Ensure company property and materials are protected from theft, damage, or unauthorised removal.
- Check incoming and outgoing materials as per gate pass procedures.
- Report any suspicious activities, safety hazards, or security breaches immediately to the supervisor.
- Assist during emergencies such as fire, accidents, medical emergencies, or evacuation situations.
- Maintain discipline and order at the company gate and premises.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with administration, HR, and department heads whenever required.
- Perform any other security-related duties assigned by management.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- Minimum 10th / 12th Pass.
- Basic reading and writing ability in Hindi and/or English.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in industrial, factory, office, or commercial security.
- Ex-servicemen or trained security personnel will be preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Good observation and alertness.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly.
- Basic record-keeping and reporting skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in shifts.
- Honest, disciplined, and responsible attitude.
Working Conditions
- Shift-based duty (Day/Night).
- May require standing for extended periods.
- May require working on weekends, holidays, and during emergencies.
Performance Indicators
- Proper maintenance of security records and registers.
- Timely reporting of incidents.
- Compliance with gate control procedures.
- Prevention of unauthorised entry or material movement.
- Discipline, punctuality, and attendance.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
