Position Summary
The Department Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of an assigned department within the store, ensuring achievement of sales targets, excellent customer service, team productivity, inventory accuracy, and visual merchandising standards. The role involves leading and motivating team members to deliver a seamless shopping experience while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve department sales targets and KPIs.
- Monitor daily sales performance and drive team productivity.
- Increase average bill value (ABV), conversion, and units per transaction (UPT).
- Analyze sales reports and implement action plans for improvement.
- Support promotional campaigns and seasonal launches.
- Supervise and guide store associates within the department.
- Conduct daily briefings and allocate responsibilities.
- Train team members on product knowledge, customer handling, and SOPs.
- Monitor attendance, grooming, discipline, and productivity.
- Assist in performance reviews and feedback discussions.
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained.
- Resolve customer complaints and escalations promptly.
- Build strong customer relationships to improve repeat business.
- Ensure staff follows customer engagement protocols.
- Maintain optimum stock levels within the department.
- Coordinate stock replenishment and inward/outward activities.
- Monitor shrinkage, damages, and stock discrepancies.

Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline preferred.

Experience Required
- 3–6 years of experience in retail operations/apparel industry.
- Minimum 1–2 years of team handling experience preferred.
