The Assistant Manager of the Maintenance Department in a hospital ensures the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of critical healthcare infrastructure. They supervise technical teams, manage preventive maintenance programs, oversee budgets, and guarantee strict compliance with health, environmental, and safety regulations.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Assist the primary manager in supervising, scheduling, and training maintenance technicians, electricians, plumbers, and HVAC operators.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Coordinate routine inspections and PM schedules for vital clinical and building systems to prevent equipment failure and minimize downtime.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all building operations comply with healthcare accreditation and safety standards.
- Vendor Management: Assist with tracking Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and coordinate with external contractors for specialized equipment repairs.
- Emergency Response: Act as a swift point of contact for resolving critical, facility-related emergencies, such as power outages or medical gas system issues, that affect patient care.
- Inventory & Budget: Help manage department expenses, oversee spare parts inventory, and prepare technical reports for senior management.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
