Position: Senior DevOps Engineer – Magento 2 & PWA

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to manage, scale, and optimize our Magento 2 e-commerce infrastructure with a headless PWA frontend. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all environments while building robust CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for Magento 2 and PWA applications
- Implement and manage auto-scaling policies (vertical & horizontal) to handle traffic spikes and seasonal peaks
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated, zero-downtime Magento 2 deployments
- Set up and manage a centralized log management system (ELK/EFK/Grafana Loki) with alerting
- Manage database scaling strategies including read replicas, replication, and connection pooling
- Configure and maintain Varnish, Redis, Elasticsearch, and RabbitMQ for optimal Magento performance
- Manage PWA frontend deployments, CDN configuration, and GraphQL API gateway setup
- Monitor infrastructure health using Prometheus, Grafana, and APM tools
- Implement and enforce security best practices including WAF, secrets management, and PCI-DSS guidelines
- Collaborate with backend and frontend development teams on deployment strategies and environment issues
- Maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible) for all environments
- Handle incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem documentation
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of DevOps/SRE experience, with at least 2 years on Magento 2 production environments
- Strong expertise in AWS/GCP/Azure cloud services
- Proven experience with horizontal and vertical auto-scaling in high-traffic environments
- Hands-on experience with MySQL/MariaDB replication, read replicas, and performance tuning
- Strong CI/CD pipeline experience with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
- Experience with ELK stack or equivalent log management and monitoring tools
- Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes or container-based deployments
- Solid understanding of Nginx, PHP-FPM, Varnish, Redis, and Elasticsearch configuration
- Experience deploying and managing PWA / headless frontend applications
- Scripting skills – Bash, Python, or similar
Nice to Have
- Magento 2 certified or deep familiarity with Magento internals
- Experience with Fastly CDN
- Knowledge of RabbitMQ and message queue management
- Familiarity with n8n or other workflow automation tools
- Experience with Percona XtraDB Cluster or Galera Cluster
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
