Job Title: Commis 1 – South Indian and north indian Cuisine
Location: Viceroy Luxury Mountain Resort and Spa, Munnar
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Commis 1 – South Indian and north indian Cuisine to join our kitchen team. The candidate should have strong knowledge in authentic South Indian cuisine preparation and assist in maintaining high food quality and kitchen standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook South Indian dishes such as dosa, idli, appam, puttu, Kerala curries, chutneys, sambar, and other traditional items and north indian dishes as well.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
- Assist in daily mise en place and food preparation
- Monitor stock levels and inform the Chef regarding shortages
- Follow food safety and HACCP standards
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth operations during service
- Minimize wastage and maintain proper storage practices
- Handle kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Requirements:
- Previous experience as Commis 1 or similar role in South Indian or north indian cuisine
- Good knowledge of Kerala and South Indian cooking methods and north indian dishes as well.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with positive attitude
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
