Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate MYP/DP Mathematics Teacher who can deliver engaging and concept-driven mathematics instruction aligned with the IB philosophy. The ideal candidate should be committed to inquiry-based learning, interdisciplinary teaching practices, and developing students’ analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver a rigorous and engaging Mathematics curriculum for IB MYP and DP students.
- Foster conceptual understanding through inquiry-based and real-world learning experiences.
- Prepare students for Internal Assessments (IA), external examinations, and other IB assessment components.
- Use differentiated instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Incorporate ATL skills, TOK connections, and IB Learner Profile attributes into daily classroom practices.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments using IB criteria and provide constructive feedback to support student growth.
- Maintain accurate student records and communicate effectively with parents during PTMs and other interactions.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments and contribute to interdisciplinary projects and school initiatives.
- Participate actively in professional development programs and stay updated with IB best practices.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.
Candidate Requirements Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- PGDIE / CIDTL / B.Ed. preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of IB MYP/DP Mathematics teaching experience.
- Strong understanding of IB curriculum frameworks and assessment practices.
- Experience in handling DP Mathematics AA and/or AI courses is preferred.
- Ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
