We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer with expertise in Test Automation, API Testing, and modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, and Cypress. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks, ensuring software quality through automated testing, and collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality applications.
The candidate should have hands-on experience in UI automation, API testing, CI/CD integration, and test strategy development while driving quality engineering best practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesTest Automation
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Develop automated test scripts for web applications across multiple browsers and platforms.
- Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
- Perform regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end automation testing.
- Maintain reusable automation libraries and frameworks.
API Testing
- Design and execute API test cases for RESTful services.
- Validate request/response payloads, authentication, and error handling.
- Automate API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
- Perform contract, integration, and performance validation of APIs.
- Ensure API reliability, security, and functional correctness.
Quality Assurance
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases.
- Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Collaborate with developers to resolve quality issues quickly.
- Ensure software meets business and technical requirements.
CI/CD & DevOps Integration
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support continuous testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Analyze test execution reports and improve pipeline reliability.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize automated deployments.
- Ensure fast and reliable feedback through automated quality gates.
Performance & Best Practices
- Optimize automation framework performance and execution time.
- Review test code for quality, maintainability, and scalability.
- Promote shift-left testing and quality engineering practices.
- Mentor junior QA engineers on automation standards and best practices.
- Continuously evaluate new testing tools and automation technologies.
Agile Collaboration
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams.
- Provide quality metrics and testing progress updates to stakeholders.
- Support release validation and production verification activities.
