Networking Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Desktop & Networking Engineer responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop systems, servers, network infrastructure, and storage solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in Windows environments, networking technologies, server administration, and enterprise IT support while ensuring maximum system availability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Desktop Support
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
- Provide technical support for Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and application-related issues.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and preventive maintenance.
- Configure and support email clients such as Microsoft Outlook.
- Manage user accounts, system permissions, and endpoint security.
- Provide remote and onsite technical support to end users.
Network Administration
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity.
- Configure and maintain routers, managed switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, latency, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, and routing issues.
- Monitor network performance and ensure maximum uptime.
- Maintain structured cabling and network documentation.
- Support VLAN configuration, network segmentation, and basic routing protocols.
Server Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and File Servers.
- Monitor server health, system logs, storage utilization, and performance.
- Perform server patching, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Configure and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Troubleshoot server hardware and software issues.
Storage Administration
- Install, configure, and manage NAS (Network Attached Storage) devices.
- Monitor storage capacity, performance, and health.
- Configure shared folders, user permissions, RAID, snapshots, and backup policies.
- Ensure data availability, redundancy, and storage optimization.
Troubleshooting & Support
- Diagnose and resolve hardware failures involving desktops, servers, routers, switches, NAS devices, and network infrastructure.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Respond to incidents within defined SLA timelines.
- Coordinate with vendors for warranty claims, hardware replacement, and technical escalations.
Security & Compliance
- Implement endpoint security measures, antivirus solutions, and system hardening.
- Monitor system and network security events.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and security standards.
- Maintain asset inventory and documentation.
Documentation
- Prepare and maintain network diagrams, system configurations, asset registers, and standard operating procedures.
- Document troubleshooting steps, incident reports, and change management records.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10/11).
- Experience with Windows Server administration.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing, Switching, VPN, NAT, and Network Security.
- Experience configuring routers, managed switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of NAS storage devices and RAID configurations.
- Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, servers, and network devices.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook.
- Ability to diagnose complex hardware and network issues.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and customer support skills.

Qualifications

Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in Desktop Support, Network Administration, or IT Infrastructure Support.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise networking devices, Windows Servers, NAS storage solutions, and end-user support.

Pay: ₹26,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
