About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive complex technical programs, product releases, customer migrations, and operational excellence across the organization.
In this role, you will work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, Security, SRE, Customer-facing teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders to plan and deliver major product releases and migrations from end to end.
You will play a key role in ensuring that products are not only developed successfully but are also release-ready, operationally stable, and able to deliver measurable value to customers and the business.
This is a high-ownership role that requires strong technical understanding, strategic thinking, excellent communication, and the ability to influence teams without direct authority.
Key Responsibilities
Product Release & Program Management
- Lead end-to-end technical programs and product release initiatives across multiple teams.
- Develop and manage release plans and calendars for high-impact product initiatives.
- Drive release readiness across Engineering, QA, Security, SRE, Support, and other stakeholders.
- Track dependencies, milestones, risks, and critical decisions to ensure successful releases.
- Identify potential release risks early and develop mitigation plans.
- Challenge unrealistic timelines and help teams establish achievable delivery plans.
Customer Migration
- Plan and coordinate customer migrations and product upgrades from one version or platform to another.
- Work closely with Engineering, Product, and customer-facing teams to ensure migration readiness.
- Identify migration risks, dependencies, and potential customer impact.
- Coordinate migration activities to minimize disruption to the customer experience.
- Track migration outcomes and drive resolution of issues that impact successful adoption.
Technical & Operational Leadership
- Work closely with engineering and SRE teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Understand technical dependencies across applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and production environments.
- Drive operational readiness, production stability, security, and reliability across programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and optimize costs.
- Use program metrics, dashboards, and data to identify bottlenecks and risks.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Independently lead cross-functional meetings, working sessions, and program reviews.
- Align distributed and cross-geographical teams around priorities, timelines, and outcomes.
- Influence stakeholders and drive decisions without direct reporting authority.
- Present program status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Establish structure and operating rhythms in ambiguous or evolving environments.
AI-Enabled Program Management
- Leverage Gen-AI and AI-enabled tools to improve program execution and operational efficiency.
- Use AI and automation where appropriate to identify risks, surface bottlenecks, summarize program information, and streamline reporting.
- Explore innovative approaches to improve program visibility, decision-making, and execution.
What You Need to Succeed
- 12+ years of overall professional experience, including at least 5 years of Technical Program Management experience.
- Strong experience leading complex, cross-functional technical programs in a fast-paced software/product environment.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and software/product development processes.
- Experience with product release management, release readiness, and production readiness.
- Experience managing customer, product, platform, or cloud migrations.
- Understanding of SaaS, cloud/infrastructure, and engineering environments.
- Experience working with Engineering, Product, QA, Security, SRE, and customer-facing teams.
- Experience with operational stability, cost optimization, risk management, and program governance.
- Strong ability to independently drive programs and lead leadership reviews with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to influence and drive outcomes without direct authority.
- Practical knowledge or experience using Gen-AI/AI tools for productivity, automation, reporting, analysis, or program management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- PMP, PgMP, or other relevant program/project management certifications are a plus.
- Experience working with large-scale SaaS or enterprise software products.
- Experience working with geographically distributed engineering and product teams.
- Experience driving programs involving large-scale product releases or customer migrations.
Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹3,500,000.00 per year
