Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that are designed to meet specific business needs. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to design, code, and enhance various components across systems or applications. You will utilize modern frameworks and agile practices to ensure that the solutions you deliver are scalable and high-performing, contributing to the overall success of the projects you are involved in.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Assist in the documentation of software specifications and design.
- Engage in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
- Platform expertise: Minimum 3 years Hands-on Experience of the ServiceNow platform with a focus on CMDB, ITOM,
- Integration, and ITAM modules. Hands on Working experience on Hardware Asset Management (HAM Pro)
- Data Quality & Governance: Implement health checks, resolve discovery errors, manage data normalization/reconciliation, and enforce CMDB policies.
- Integration: Develop integrations (REST/SOAP) with third-party tools (SCCM, Azure, SolarWinds, Intune) to enrich CMDB data
- Development & Scripting: Use JavaScript, Business Rules, and Integrations Hub to automate processes and build custom solutions.
- Discovery and mapping: Hands-on expertise in ITAM, Discovery and Service Mapping.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, Flow Designer, MID Servers, and API Integrations.
- ITIL knowledge: Strong grasp of ITIL (v3/v4) principles, especially regarding configuration and asset management.
- Data management: Experience with data quality analysis, reconciliation, and identification/reconciliation engines (IRE).
- Cloud knowledge: Experience with cloud environments like AWS, Azure.
- Certifications: ServiceNow certifications in Discovery, ITAM & ITOM are preferred
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle methodologies.
- Experience with agile development practices and frameworks.
- Familiarity with integration techniques and tools for various systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve software issues effectively.

- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
