Job Overview
We are looking for a hands-on PLC Automation Programmer with experience in PLC programming, HMI development, panel commissioning, troubleshooting, and industrial automation systems.
The role involves working on PLC, HMI, Servo, and SCADA development for customer projects and in-house automation panels. The candidate will be responsible for programming, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and providing service support for automation systems across industries such as pharma, packaging, food, chemical, and material handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, test, debug, and modify PLC programs for automation panels and industrial applications.
- Develop and configure HMI screens and integrate them with PLC logic.
- Commission control panels at customer sites, including wiring checks, I/O testing, parameter tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Work on PLC platforms from Schneider Electric, Siemens, and Inovance, depending on project requirements.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, panel drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs for programming and commissioning activities.
- Provide field-service support, troubleshoot deployed systems, and implement required program modifications.
- Coordinate with design and R&D teams to ensure control logic is aligned with panel hardware and customer requirements.
- Independently handle development, commissioning, and service activities for small-to-mid-size automation panels with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and commissioning.
- Practical experience in HMI programming and PLC-to-HMI integration.
- Experience with at least one of the following PLC platforms:
- Schneider Electric
- Siemens
- Inovance
- Ability to independently read and understand:
- Electrical drawings
- Panel schematics
- Wiring diagrams
- P&IDs
- Comfortable with on-site commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Willingness to travel within Mumbai and occasionally to outstation customer locations.
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field. Equivalent hands-on experience may also be considered.
