Job Summary
The Sourcing Executive / Used Car Evaluator will be responsible for sourcing quality pre-owned vehicles, evaluating vehicles based on their mechanical and physical condition, determining appropriate purchase values, and ensuring profitable acquisition of used cars for the dealership.
Key Responsibilities
- Source used vehicles through customer referrals, direct sourcing, field visits, exchange enquiries, online leads, and market contacts.
- Inspect and evaluate vehicles for overall physical, mechanical, electrical, and structural condition.
- Check vehicle documents including RC, insurance, service records, ownership details, and other relevant documents.
- Assess vehicle age, mileage, condition, model, variant, market demand, and resale potential.
- Identify accident history, major repairs, repainting, modifications, and other issues affecting vehicle value.
- Conduct test drives and evaluate vehicle performance, including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, AC, electrical systems, and other major components.
- Determine the appropriate acquisition price based on vehicle condition, market value, repair requirements, and expected resale value.
- Negotiate with customers/vehicle owners to finalize purchase or exchange deals within approved valuation limits.
- Coordinate with the Used Car Sales, Workshop, Insurance, Registration, and Accounts teams for smooth procurement and processing of vehicles.
- Ensure proper documentation and timely transfer of ownership for sourced vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, valuations, purchases, and sourcing activities.
- Monitor local used-car market trends, competitor pricing, demand, and resale values.
- Generate regular sourcing reports and achieve assigned monthly sourcing and procurement targets.
- Ensure that sourced vehicles meet the dealership's quality and certification standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, used-car owners, brokers, and other sourcing channels.
- Participate in exchange camps, customer meets, roadshows, and other used-car sourcing activities.
- Follow dealership and Maruti Suzuki True Value processes, policies, and compliance requirements.
Educational Qualification
Plus Two / ITI / Diploma / Degree in any discipline, preferably Automobile / Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
1–3 years of experience in used-car evaluation, automobile sales, vehicle inspection, sourcing, or a related field.
Freshers with strong automobile knowledge and interest may also be considered.
Pay: From ₹22,000.00 per month
