Job Purpose
To manage and strengthen the institution’s placement ecosystem by building relationships with employers, coordinating campus recruitment, preparing students for employment, ensuring placement opportunities, and maintaining accurate placement records and reports.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate & Employer Relations
Develop and maintain strong relationships with companies, recruiters, HR professionals, industry associations and placement partners. Identify and onboard new employers across relevant sectors.
Campus Recruitment
Plan and coordinate the complete campus recruitment process including company invitations, job descriptions, eligibility verification, student registration, recruitment schedules, tests, interviews and offer-letter coordination.
Placement Targets
Develop placement plans and work towards achieving annual placement targets for eligible students across programmes. Monitor placement progress against department/institutional targets.
Student Career Readiness
Coordinate employability and career-readiness programmes including aptitude training, communication skills, interview preparation, resume building, group discussions and soft-skills development.
Industry Engagement
Facilitate industry interactions, guest lectures, career talks, internships, industrial visits, workshops and other activities that improve student exposure to employment opportunities.
Internship Coordination
Identify internship opportunities and coordinate with companies, students and academic departments to facilitate internships and maintain internship records.
Student Counselling & Guidance
Guide students regarding career opportunities, job roles, eligibility criteria, recruitment processes and professional expectations. Support students in making informed career decisions.
Placement Data & MIS
Maintain accurate records of eligible students, companies, job opportunities, applications, selections, offers, joining status, salary packages and placement outcomes. Prepare periodic MIS and management reports.
Recruitment Process Management
Ensure smooth execution of placement drives and coordinate with HR representatives, faculty coordinators, students, transport/security teams and other departments as required.
Alumni & Employer Network
Leverage alumni and employer networks to identify employment opportunities, referrals, industry interactions and career-development initiatives.
Placement Communication
Ensure timely communication of placement opportunities, eligibility criteria, schedules, instructions and results to students and concerned departments.
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain placement-related documentation, approvals, company profiles, MoUs, correspondence and records in accordance with institutional procedures.
Placement Analysis
Analyse placement trends, recruiter participation, student performance, salary trends and skill gaps and recommend improvements to management.

- Annual placement percentage and achievement against approved targets.
- Number and quality of active recruiting companies.
- Number of new recruiters added annually.
- Number and quality of internship opportunities facilitated.
- Student participation and placement conversion rate.
- Employer satisfaction and repeat recruiter engagement.
- Placement drive execution and turnaround time.
- Accuracy and timeliness of placement MIS.
- Student satisfaction with placement support.

- Improvement in student employability and recruitment outcomes.
Qualification & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree/MBA in HR, Marketing, Management or related field preferred.
- Experience: Typically 3–7 years of relevant experience in placements, campus recruitment, corporate relations, HR recruitment or higher-education career services.
- Experience in an educational institution/university will be an advantage.
- Strong corporate and HR network preferred.
