As Lead SI you hold technical delivery authority for a cluster of countries. You design the Migration Factory patterns, lead complex workload refactoring, chair in-country discovery workshops, and sign off completions before they are presented to the Customer Programme Office. You are the senior technical escalation point for 2–4 SI Engineers in your domain.
- Own end-to-end technical delivery for assigned countries and wave types Design and build Migration Factory templates, CI/CD pipelines, reconciliation frameworks, and runbooks for your workload category Lead complex refactoring: Oozie, NiFi-complex, Spark-complex, CDC, Kafka Chair in-country discovery workshops; produce validated migration backlog and dependency map Define reconciliation baselines; approve performance benchmark gates before wave cutover Review and sign off all SI Engineer outputs in your domain before client submission Address Burkina Faso MinIO retention scenario — design integration pattern with Rakuten CNOS boundary Mentor and quality-gate 2–4 SI Engineers; resolve technical escalations within 24 hours Present wave completion reports to Rakuten Symphony programme governance Produce architecture decision records and contribute to knowledge transfer artefacts
- 7+ years in data engineering; 3+ years as a technical lead on data platform projects Deep expertise in the Hadoop ecosystem: Spark (PySpark/Scala), Hive, Impala, Oozie, HDFS Strong Kafka, NiFi, CDC (Debezium), and streaming architecture experience Hands-on with S3/MinIO/CNOS object storage integration patterns Experience with Rakuten, Cloudera, Databricks, or equivalent cloud-native data platforms GitLab CI/CD pipeline design, ArgoCD or equivalent; Harbor container registry awareness Ability to run technical stakeholder workshops with Orange local SMEs in English and/or French Proven on-time delivery under programme governance frameworks (RACI, change control) Willingness to travel internationally to Africa for 2–4 week engagements per country
Pay: ₹1,800,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
