Role Overview
We are looking for disciplined and safety-conscious Machine Operators to join our production team. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in operating industrial machines, interpreting basic engineering drawings, and ensuring production activities are carried out efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate assigned machines as per standard operating procedures and production schedules.
- Perform machine set-up activities, including loading raw materials, tooling changes, and parameter adjustments, wherever applicable.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure smooth production and minimize downtime.
- Read and understand basic engineering drawings, job cards, and work instructions.
- Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and Dial Gauges.
- Ensure that products meet specified quality standards and tolerances.
- Maintain production records, machine logs, and daily output reports accurately.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance of machines.
- Identify abnormalities or machine issues and report them promptly to the supervisor or maintenance team.
- Follow 5S practices and maintain cleanliness and discipline in the work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and company policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and quality.
Qualifications / Eligibility
- ITI in Turner / Machinist / Fitter / Tool & Die Maker / Machining Technician (mandatory for ITI candidates), OR
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
- Fresh ITI / Diploma graduates may apply for trainee positions.
- 1–5 years of experience operating conventional or production machines in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience in automotive, fabrication, precision machining, engineering, or industrial manufacturing industries will be an added advantage.
Preferred Machine Exposure
Candidates with experience in any of the following will be preferred:
- Conventional Lathe Machines
- Drilling Machines
- Milling Machines
- Surface Grinding Machines
- CNC Turning Machines
- CNC Vertical Machining Centres (VMC)
- Special Purpose Machines (SPM)
- Assembly and Production Line Equipment
Technical Skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and dimensions.
- Familiarity with basic machining processes and manufacturing practices.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and quality inspection methods.
- Understanding of machine operating parameters and safety requirements.
- Basic troubleshooting ability related to machine operations.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
