Job Description
- Set up and prepare CNC/VMC/VTL machines by installing tools, fixtures, jaws, and workpieces as per job requirements.
- Perform programming, editing, and optimization of machine programs based on engineering drawings and machining specifications.
- Set machine parameters, tooling offsets, cutting speeds, and feeds to ensure accurate machining and productivity.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions, GD&T, and tolerances for precision manufacturing.
- Conduct trial runs and first-piece inspection, and obtain job approval before production.
- Operate and monitor machines during production to ensure quality output and adherence to production targets.
- Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, and Dial Indicator.
- Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and programming issues to minimize downtime and improve cycle time.
- Ensure preventive maintenance, proper documentation, machine cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards.
