Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Assessment and Evaluation
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and functional evaluations.
- Identify movement dysfunctions, impairments, and rehabilitation needs.
- Establish patient-centered treatment goals and rehabilitation plans.
- Perform periodic reassessments to monitor patient progress.
Treatment and Rehabilitation
- Deliver individualized physiotherapy treatments using evidence-based practices.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and functional training.
- Design and implement rehabilitation programs for orthopedic, neurological, sports injury, and post-operative patients.
- Provide pain management and mobility restoration interventions.
- Prescribe and monitor home exercise programs.
Patient Education and Counseling
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and expected outcomes.
- Provide guidance on posture correction, ergonomics, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
- Encourage patient participation and adherence to rehabilitation programs.
Documentation and Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records, assessment reports, treatment notes, and progress documentation.
- Prepare discharge summaries and rehabilitation outcome reports.
- Ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards and organizational policies.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Collaborate with physicians, orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, sports medicine specialists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and rehabilitation planning.
- Communicate patient progress and treatment outcomes effectively with the healthcare team.
Quality and Safety
- Adhere to professional ethics, clinical guidelines, and evidence-based practice standards.
- Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety of physiotherapy equipment.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Manage patient appointments and treatment schedules efficiently.
- Participate in departmental meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in community outreach programs, health awareness campaigns, and wellness initiatives.
- Support the achievement of departmental and organizational goals.
QualificationsEssential
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from a recognized institution.
- Valid Physiotherapy Council Registration.
