Role Overview
As a Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE) at Drytis, you will work directly with customers to design, deploy, and operationalize solutions in real-world environments. You will bridge the gap between product, system design, and customer needs, ensuring seamless deployments and intuitive user experiences.
This role requires a strong mix of engineering, system design, UI/UX thinking, AI experience, customer-facing and excellent communication while working closely with clients.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Deployment & System Design
- Design and deploy scalable solutions based on customer requirements.
- Define system architecture, integrations, and infrastructure setup.
- Ensure efficient, reliable, and production-ready deployments.
Solution Implementation
- Customize solutions based on customer workflows and business needs.
- Integrate APIs, messaging platforms, and third-party systems.
- Ensure performance, security, and scalability of deployed systems.
UI/UX & Product Experience
- Collaborate with clients to design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
- Improve user workflows and overall product experience.
- Translate customer requirements into usable and efficient product designs.
AI & Automation
- Leverage LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI tools to enhance solutions.
- Integrate AI-driven features into applications and workflows.
- Use AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery and problem-solving.
Customer Collaboration
- Work closely with clients to understand technical and business requirements.
- Act as a customer-facing engineer, providing consultation and guidance.
- Translate requirements into scalable and deployable solutions.
Troubleshooting & Support
- Diagnose and resolve technical and deployment issues quickly.
- Ensure stability and performance of deployed systems.
- Support clients during onboarding and early adoption phases.
Product Feedback & Documentation
- Identify customer pain points and share feedback with product teams.
- Improve deployment processes, playbooks, and best practices.
- Maintain clear documentation for deployments and system design.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Experience with system design, architecture, and scalable applications.
- Hands-on experience with UI/UX principles and user-centric design.
- Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of full-stack development (frontend, backend, deployment).
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Excellent English communication and client-handling skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in customer-facing engineering roles.
- Background in DevOps, platform engineering, or SaaS deployments.
- Experience deploying AI platforms or automation systems.
- Familiarity with messaging platforms (e.g., WhatsApp APIs).
- Strong sense of product thinking and user experience design.
