Job Summary
The Physician Assistant supports consultants and physicians in delivering high-quality patient care. The role involves patient assessment, clinical documentation, assisting in diagnostic and treatment procedures, coordinating patient care, and ensuring effective communication between patients and healthcare teams. Physician Assistants work closely with doctors in OPD, IPD, ICU, and emergency settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and clinical procedures.
- Obtain and document patient medical histories and vital signs.
- Conduct preliminary patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Coordinate diagnostic investigations, laboratory tests, and imaging procedures.
- Monitor patient progress and report clinical changes to the treating physician.
- Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans under physician supervision.
- Maintain accurate patient records, case sheets, and medical documentation.
- Educate patients and attendants regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
- Support consultants during ward rounds and emergency situations.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments to ensure smooth patient care.
- Assist in minor procedures and clinical interventions as directed by physicians.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety protocols.

Experience

Qualification
- B.Sc. Physician Assistant / Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from a recognised institution
- Relevant clinical training and hospital exposure
