Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This role involves supervising production staff, coordinating workflow, monitoring equipment performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to achieve production schedules and output targets.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and operating procedures.
- Lead, motivate, and train production team members to improve performance and productivity.
- Ensure adherence to workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Allocate manpower and resources effectively to meet operational requirements.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime.
- Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Planning departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor inventory of raw materials and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of production planning, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Good problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production reporting systems; experience with ERP software is an advantage.
