As we continue to expand our development capabilities, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Technical Delivery Lead – ERPNext, Frappe & Python who can provide technical direction, strengthen engineering practices and lead a team of developers toward consistent, high-quality delivery.
About the Role
This is not a conventional project management or purely operational delivery role.
The Technical Delivery Lead will be responsible for driving the complete technical delivery function, guiding a team of approximately 15–20 developers and ensuring that solutions are designed, developed and delivered in line with defined engineering standards, business requirements and client expectations.
The selected professional will work directly with the CTO and act as the technical bridge between leadership, development teams and clients. The role requires deep technical expertise in Python, ERPNext and the Frappe Framework, combined with the ability to lead teams, review code, define solution architecture and establish structured development processes.
The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable discussing ERP workflows with business stakeholders, designing a technical solution, reviewing complex code and mentoring developers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITYKey Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Solution Architecture
- Lead the technical direction for ERPNext, Frappe, and Python-based projects.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable application architectures.
- Convert business requirements into technical solutions and development plans.
- Establish coding standards, architecture guidelines, and best practices.
- Make key technical decisions on architecture, integrations, databases, and deployments.
- Identify technical risks and recommend effective solutions.
ERPNext & Frappe Development
- Lead ERPNext implementation, customization, and solution development.
- Provide technical expertise across ERPNext architecture and business modules.
- Guide development of custom DocTypes, workflows, reports, APIs, dashboards, and integrations.
- Ensure ERPNext customizations are scalable, maintainable, and upgrade-compatible.
- Lead integrations with third-party applications, banking systems, and external platforms.
Python & Backend Engineering
- Lead backend application and API development using Python.
- Review application logic, database design, and integrations.
- Promote secure coding, design patterns, and reusable components.
- Mentor developers in debugging, optimization, and issue resolution.
- Drive improvements in application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Code Quality & Engineering Governance
- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
- Define development, testing, deployment, and version control processes.
- Promote documentation, quality assurance, and engineering best practices.
- Reduce technical debt through code optimization and refactoring.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality, security, and performance standards.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead, mentor, and technically guide a team of 15–20 developers.
- Allocate technical tasks and support project execution.
- Resolve complex technical challenges and mentor team members.
- Conduct technical reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Drive continuous learning, collaboration, and engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Client Consultation & Technical Delivery
- Act as the technical consultant for clients across diverse industries.
- Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, and technical discussions.
- Recommend ERP and enterprise technology solutions based on business needs.
- Present technical solutions and implementation strategies to stakeholders.
- Ensure technical deliverables align with client expectations and business objectives.
- Support implementation, UAT, deployment, and post-production activities.
Delivery Management
- Own end-to-end technical delivery of multiple projects.
- Drive technical planning, estimation, and release readiness.
- Monitor project progress, code quality, and technical risks.
- Work closely with the CTO on engineering priorities and delivery strategy.
- Ensure timely, high-quality, and technically sound project execution.
- Support production deployments and critical issue resolution.
Required Technical Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience in Python development.
- Advanced expertise in ERPNext and the Frappe Framework.
- Experience in ERPNext implementation, customization, and integrations.
- Strong understanding of ERP workflows and enterprise business processes.
- Expertise in custom Frappe applications, APIs, reports, workflows, and DocTypes.
- Experience with REST APIs, third-party integrations, and web services.
- Good knowledge of MariaDB/MySQL and database optimization.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Frappe frontend customization.
- Experience with Git, version control, and branching strategies.
- Knowledge of Linux environments, deployment, and production support.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, security, and performance optimization.
- Experience with testing, debugging, release management, and technical documentation.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant certifications in ERPNext, Frappe, Python, cloud technologies or software architecture will be an advantage.
