Job Opening – Auditor / Executive
KLM Assets Fin is looking for a professional to join our Audit team. This position is ideal for candidates with at least one year of experience in internal audit functions, preferably within the NBFC or chit fund sector. The role focuses on strengthening operational controls, ensuring regulatory adherence, and supporting the organization's commitment to transparency and accountability.
Preferred Location:
Candidates residing in Ernakulam and those available for immediate joining will be preferred.
Role Summary:
The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing branch activities, examining financial documentation, and assessing compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. The position demands strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to identify process gaps while recommending corrective measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review branch-level transactions and operational activities related to chit fund and financial services.
- Examine collection records, receipts, vouchers, deposits, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assess adherence to organizational policies, audit standards, and applicable statutory requirements.
- Detect exceptions, control weaknesses, and unusual activities that may impact operational efficiency or financial reliability.
- Report observations, findings, and risk areas to the appropriate authorities for timely resolution.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports with actionable recommendations for process improvement.
- Conduct field visits to branches to evaluate operational effectiveness and control mechanisms.
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to strengthen internal controls and business processes.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Internal Audit, preferably in NBFCs, Chit Funds, or Financial Services.
- Strong understanding of financial documentation
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and report preparation.
- Willingness to travel for branch audits as required.
