Job Summary
The German Teacher is responsible for teaching the German language to students in accordance with the school's curriculum. The role includes developing students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while fostering an appreciation for German culture. The teacher creates engaging lesson plans, assesses student progress, and supports students in achieving language proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective German language lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum.
- Teach German grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, conversation, reading, writing, and comprehension.
- Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, and assessments.
- Evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, projects, and classroom participation.
- Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and academic reports.
- Encourage active participation through interactive language activities, discussions, role plays, and presentations.
- Support students with varying learning needs through differentiated instruction.
- Integrate technology and digital resources to enhance language learning.
- Promote awareness of German culture, traditions, and customs through classroom activities.
- Prepare students for language proficiency examinations, where applicable.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development programs, parent-teacher meetings, and school events.
- Maintain discipline and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in German, Foreign Languages, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Certification in German language proficiency (such as Goethe-Zertifikat, TestDaF, or equivalent) is preferred.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred or mandatory, as per school requirements).
- Strong command of German and effective communication skills in English and/or the regional language.

Experience

- Freshers with strong language proficiency, relevant certifications, and teaching aptitude may also be considered.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, school-based position.
- Working hours as per the school's academic schedule.
- Participation in extracurricular activities, language clubs, cultural events, and school programs as required.

Pay: ₹10,294.12 - ₹30,000.00 per month
