About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manual Pattern Master to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the technical backbone of our garment manufacturing process. From developing accurate patterns based on design specifications to grading sizes and ensuring the perfect fit on mannequins, your expertise will directly impact the quality, consistency, and cost efficiency of our products.
Key ResponsibilitiesPattern Development
- Manually draft patterns from sketches, samples, and technical specification sheets for various uniform categories, including: (Shirts, Trousers/Pants, Coveralls, Scrub Suits, Salwar, Kameez, Tunics and Other uniform garments)
Fit & Quality Assurance
- Conduct fit sessions using mannequins to ensure garment measurements, proportions, balance, and drape meet company and industry standards.
- Identify and resolve fitting issues before production.
Pattern Grading
- Perform accurate manual grading across complete size ranges.
- Maintain fit consistency across all graded sizes.
Fabric Consumption & Marker Planning
- Prepare efficient markers to optimize fabric utilization and minimize wastage.
- Ensure production remains within the established standard fabric consumption average.
Production Readiness
- Ensure all patterns are production ready with clearly marked seam allowances, grain lines, notches, drill marks, and construction references.
- Coordinate with the Cutting Department to ensure smooth production execution.
RequirementsExperience
- 8–12+ years of proven experience as a Pattern Master in the garment manufacturing industry.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in garment construction, manual pattern drafting, fitting, and size grading.
- Thorough understanding of various woven and knitted garment categories.
Attention to Detail
- Exceptional accuracy in measurements and pattern development.
- Strong focus on fit, quality, and production efficiency.
Team Collaboration
- Ability to work closely with the Design Team, Sampling Team, and Production Team to resolve fitting and construction challenges.
