Purpose Of Job:
The Associate – Statutory Audit will be responsible for supporting and executing statutory audit engagements across diverse industries. The role involves applying strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, auditing principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements to ensure the effective and timely completion of audit assignments.
Work Responsibility:
- Execute statutory audit assignments in accordance with applicable auditing standards, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in planning, conducting, and completing audit engagements within defined timelines.
- Review financial statements, accounting records, supporting documentation, and internal controls.
- Perform substantive and analytical audit procedures and ensure appropriate audit documentation.
- Identify accounting, financial reporting, and compliance-related issues and communicate observations to the engagement team.
- Apply practical knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Indian GAAP, and relevant accounting principles while reviewing financial statements and audit matters.
- Prepare and maintain audit working papers, schedules, documentation, and other deliverables in accordance with the firm's methodology and quality standards.
- Coordinate with client teams to obtain necessary information, explanations, and supporting documents.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and audit reports.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned work while maintaining accuracy, quality, and professional standards.
- Work collaboratively with seniors, managers, and engagement partners and contribute effectively towards successful completion of audit engagements.
- Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards, auditing standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
