Factory Manager – Textile MillRoles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall operations of the textile manufacturing facility to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met.
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Lead and manage production teams, supervisors, and support staff, ensuring high levels of productivity and discipline.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and wastage.
- Monitor production costs, material consumption, and machine utilization to improve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and machinery operates at optimal performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and statutory regulations within the factory.
- Collaborate with procurement, stores, planning, and logistics teams to maintain uninterrupted production.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Analyze production reports, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and other process improvement initiatives.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate employees to enhance skills and improve performance.
- Handle workforce planning, shift management, attendance, and employee discipline.
- Ensure timely achievement of production KPIs, including productivity, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly production and performance reports to senior management.
- Coordinate with the quality assurance team to ensure customer specifications and compliance requirements are consistently met.
- Support audits and ensure all factory documentation is maintained accurately.
