About the Role
This role will focus primarily on VOPA’s work. We are looking for a hands-on creator and executor who can clearly communicate the purpose, progress, and impact of VOPA’s work through video and social media. You will own the digital storytelling and day-to-day social media presence, managing the entire process from idea → content creation → publishing → engagement → iteration. Your work will support adoption, stakeholder communication, and public visibility of a large-scale government education program.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and publish short- and long-form video content in accordance with brand guidelines.
- Manage Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X & other channels.
- Convert field updates & raw footage into engaging content.
- Ensure content accuracy and alignment with public-sector standards.
- Optimize for reach, engagement & watch time.
- Prepare reach & impression reports (LinkedIn & Instagram).
- Track performance metrics & refine content strategy.
- Engage with educators & community via comments/messages.
- Maintain a content calendar aligned with organisation priorities.
- Design booklets & magazines using Canva.
- Promote and organically circulate posts across social media platforms.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years in social media management
- Strong video editing — Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut
- Proficiency in Canva for design & publications
- Storytelling, pacing & framing skills
- Understanding of platform formats & algorithms
- Motion graphics / simple animations for explainers
- Basic copywriting in English and/or Marathi
- Experience in education, government or public-sector communications
- Experience documenting field work or impact programs
Added Advantages
- Adobe Suite knowledge (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Ability to organically circulate posts on own social media
