Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Fetal Medicine Specialist to provide advanced prenatal care, fetal diagnostics, and risk assessment. The role involves managing high‑risk pregnancies, performing specialized ultrasound procedures, and working closely with obstetricians to ensure optimal maternal and fetal outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties
- Perform advanced ultrasound examinations including:
- NT Scan
- Anomaly Scan
- Growth Scan
- Doppler Studies
- Diagnose fetal abnormalities and congenital anomalies
- Manage high‑risk pregnancies and provide expert opinions
- Perform and assist in invasive procedures (e.g., amniocentesis, CVS)
- Provide detailed reporting with high accuracy and clarity
Patient Care & Counselling
- Provide counselling to patients regarding fetal findings and conditions
- Explain risks, outcomes, and treatment options in a sensitive and professional manner
- Coordinate with obstetricians/gynecologists for patient management
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and confidentiality
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure strict adherence to PNDT regulations
- Maintain proper documentation, records, and reporting standards
- Ensure all mandatory forms and consents are completed accurately
Coordination & Teamwork
- Work closely with radiologists, gynecologists, and technical staff
- Guide sonographers and radiographers where necessary
- Participate in clinical discussions and case reviews
- Support training and quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- MD / DNB in Radiology OR MD in Obstetrics & Gynecology with specialization in Fetal Medicine
- Valid medical registration
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in fetal medicine / prenatal diagnostics
- Experience in handling high‑risk cases and advanced fetal imaging preferred
