Role & responsibilities
- Handle procurement of fire fighting system materials such as pipes, valves, pumps, sprinklers, hydrants, fire alarm systems, and accessories.
- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor/supplier database.
- Float inquiries, prepare comparative statements (CS), and finalize vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with project, design, and site teams for material requirements.
- Ensure materials comply with technical specifications and standards (IS, NFPA, etc.).
- Track orders and follow up with suppliers to avoid delays.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with stores.
- Verify invoices and coordinate with accounts for payment processing.
- Maintain proper documentation of procurement activities.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternate sourcing options.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in procurement, preferably in fire fighting / MEP industry.
- Strong knowledge of fire fighting system components and materials.
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings and BOQs.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Time management and problem-solving ability.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
