Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Bengaluru. The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank and account statements. The role includes preparing and reviewing journal entries, assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and supporting the preparation of financial statements and management reports. The Accountant will handle accounts payable and receivable, monitor cash flows, track expenses, and verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with auditors and tax consultants, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, maintaining proper documentation, and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.
- Experience with accounts payable and receivable processes, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Understanding of tax regulations, statutory compliance, and audit support activities.
- Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and suggest process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA or in progress) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in the energy, infrastructure, or manufacturing sector is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Capacity to work on-site in Bengaluru, collaborate in a team environment, and handle confidential financial information with integrity.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
