Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Manager – New Product Development (NPD) to lead end-to-end product development activities in the automotive manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in new product development, tooling, quality systems, and manufacturing processes, along with proven leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead RFQs and end-to-end new product development projects.
- Develop products including springs, stamped parts, and safety washers.
- Manage project engineers and production teams.
- Drive APQP, PPAP, customer approvals, and product validation activities.
- Coordinate customer audits, process improvements, and failure analysis.
- Lead tool design and development activities.
- Prepare MIS reports and monitor project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, AIAG Core Tools, SAP, and VDA requirements.
- Identify new technologies and manage CAPEX planning.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of stamping, heat treatment, coating, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in tool room operations and product inspection/testing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Creo, and SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, VDA 6.3, and IATF Internal Audits.
- Experience in costing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
