What you will be responsible for:
Managing Operations
-
The Custody team oversees trade processing and settlement, cash management, and reporting. Officers/Managers ensure seamless service delivery and require strong knowledge of the trade life cycle, processing, settlement, reasons for trade failure, global markets, and depositories. Familiarity with SWIFT messages, security identification, and trade transaction types is essential.

Officers/Managers supervise exception and inquiry resolution in trade and cash activities, communicate effectively with all stakeholders, and review transactions based on risk and value. They manage client transitions, including staffing, training, monitoring progress, identifying issues, and approving go-live decisions. Coordination with internal and external auditors, adherence to compliance procedures, and timely issue escalation are mandatory.

Continuous process improvement, cross-training, backup procedure familiarity, and deadline management are expected. Officers take ownership of resolution, consult managers when necessary, and aim for operational efficiency, accuracy, and completeness in all tasks.
ii) Service Delivery & Service Quality

Follow AIS internal controls.

Meet monthly and quarterly client deliverables.

Guide the team through challenges.

Identify and escalate suspicious transactions per policy.

Perform error analysis, define and implement corrective actions.

Drive continuous quality improvement.
iii) People Management

Show effective leadership and people management.

Oversee performance planning, feedback, and appraisals for staff.

Monitor employees under special performance review.

Take part in team compensation planning.

Model and encourage professional growth.

Delegate responsibilities and support development.

Foster teamwork through training and coaching.
iv) Other Responsibilities & what we value
Integrate new business/client onboarding and manage special client and corporate projects.
The Officer engages with professionals at all levels, both internally and externally. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. Preferred qualifications:

Willing to work North American shift hours, including nights

Available for conference calls outside local hours

Skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, PowerBI, SharePoint)

Experience with innovation, efficiency, and project management (VBA and advanced Excel are assets)

Staff management experience

Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Education & Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience

Candidate must have a university degree (accounting, business, mathematics, finance or economics)

Strong Custody services experience required

Exposure to Hedge fund and Private Equity
