A Machine Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the machine shop, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency. The supervisor coordinates manpower, allocates jobs, monitors machine utilization, and ensures adherence to production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise machine shop personnel and daily operations.
Plan and allocate jobs based on production priorities.
Ensure product quality and compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
Monitor machine performance and coordinate preventive maintenance.
Enforce safety procedures and maintain workplace discipline.
Track production output, minimize downtime, and improve productivity.
Coordinate with Planning, Production, Quality, and Stores departments for smooth workflow.
Train and guide machine operators and apprentices.
Maintain production records, reports, and machine utilization data.
Logistics Operation
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of machining processes (turning, milling, drilling, boring, CNC operations, etc.).
Leadership and team management skills.
Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
Problem-solving, planning, and decision-making abilities.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
