Qualification: Firemanship Certificate (1 year) from recognized institute / ITI
Reporting to: Fire Supervisor
- Basic knowledge of fire prevention, firefighting techniques, and emergency response
- Working knowledge of fire safety equipment, hydrant systems, and fire tenders
- Ability to inspect, test, maintain, service, and refill firefighting equipment
- Basic knowledge of fire tender servicing and firefighting accessories
- Ability to respond calmly, quickly, and effectively during emergency situations
- Basic first-aid knowledge and emergency medical assistance skills
- High level of discipline, teamwork, and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical fitness and readiness for standby duties and emergency response
- Attend fire and emergency calls inside the plant and complex as directed by superiors
- Perform inspection, testing, maintenance, servicing, and refilling of all fire safety equipment and systems
- Carry out daily Fire & Safety department operational activities
- Monitor fire safety inspections, hot work permits, and other work permits
- Identify and report unsafe acts and unsafe conditions to superiors
- Maintain readiness for standby fire duty whenever required
- Operate, monitor, and maintain fire tenders and associated firefighting accessories
- Perform daily fire tender trial checks and maintain related inspection reports
- Conduct ITPM activities for fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, safety showers, and fire tender equipment
- Provide first-aid and assist in arranging medical treatment for injured personnel
- Ensure proper handover and takeover of shift duties, including equipment status and daily check reports
- Maintain discipline, teamwork, and strict compliance with departmental safety procedures
- Execute instructions from supervisors promptly, efficiently, and in a disciplined manner
