About the Role
Market Times TV is seeking a skilled and proactive PCR Executive to manage live and recorded broadcasts from the Production Control Room. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in live switching, video production, broadcast operations, and PCR workflows. The role requires close coordination with anchors, producers, reporters, video editors, and technical teams to ensure smooth and uninterrupted transmission of news bulletins, live shows, interviews, podcasts, and special programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage live news bulletins, interviews, talk shows, podcasts, and special broadcasts.
- Handle live switching between multiple camera feeds, video sources, graphics, and external inputs.
- Execute daily rundowns and ensure accurate sequencing of programs and segments.
- Coordinate with Producers, Anchors, Reporters, Video Editors, Graphics Team, and MCR during live and recorded productions.
- Monitor audio and video quality throughout broadcasts.
- Manage teleprompter operations and coordinate script flow during live shows.
- Ensure timely insertion of graphics, lower thirds, tickers, and promotional content.
- Monitor incoming live feeds, field reports, and remote guest connections.
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues and coordinate with engineering teams for resolution.
- Maintain broadcast logs and operational records.
- Support breaking news coverage and special event programming.
- Ensure adherence to channel broadcast standards and operational procedures.
Technical Skills Required
- Hands-on experience in PCR operations within a television channel or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of Video Switchers and live production workflows.
- Experience operating Blackmagic Design equipment, especially ATEM Switchers.
- Understanding of video routing, signal flow, source switching, and broadcast infrastructure.
- Knowledge of audio mixers, video servers, graphics systems, and teleprompter operations.
- Familiarity with live streaming workflows for YouTube, Facebook, OTT, and digital platforms.
- Ability to manage multi-camera productions and live event coverage.
- Understanding of newsroom operations and broadcast automation systems.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for broadcast and production equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Broadcast Production, Electronics, or related field.
- Certification in Broadcast Production, Television Operations, or Media Technology will be an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in News Channels, Television Networks, Digital Media Platforms, or Production Houses.
- Exposure to live news production, business news, financial news, election coverage, and current affairs programming.
- Experience working with Blackmagic ATEM Switchers, video mixers, and live production systems.
- Knowledge of streaming and digital broadcasting technologies.
