Job Summary
Affluent Real Home is looking for an experienced Senior BOQ & Billing Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in construction, particularly in BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, contractor billing, rate analysis, cost control, and project billing.
The candidate will be responsible for managing and reviewing billing activities, ensuring accurate measurements, controlling project quantities and costs, and coordinating with project/site teams, contractors, consultants, and accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and finalize BOQs based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Handle RA Bills, Final Bills, Contractor Bills, and Subcontractor Bills.
- Verify site measurements and quantities executed by contractors.
- Check contractor bills against BOQ, work orders, drawings, measurements, and actual site execution.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for civil and finishing works.
- Conduct rate analysis and support project cost estimation.
- Prepare and review variation statements and extra-item claims.
- Monitor project quantities, costs, and budget utilization.
- Maintain proper records of measurements, bills, quantities, and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Contractors, Consultants, Procurement, and Accounts Teams.
- Identify discrepancies in contractor bills and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor material reconciliation and consumption against project requirements.
- Assist management in cost control and commercial decision-making.
- Review subcontractor/vendor bills and recommend them for approval.
- Ensure billing is completed accurately and within project timelines.
- Prepare periodic billing and cost reports for management.
- Support project teams in maintaining commercial and contractual documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in BOQ, Billing & Quantity Surveying.
- Excellent knowledge of civil construction and finishing activities.
- Strong understanding of RCC, masonry, plaster, flooring, waterproofing, painting, and other finishing works.
- Excellent knowledge of quantity estimation and rate analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good knowledge of contractor/subcontractor billing and reconciliation.
- Strong coordination, negotiation, and communication skills.
Qualification
B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 10+ years of relevant experience in BOQ, Billing, Quantity Surveying, or Commercial functions in the construction industry.
- Candidates with experience in residential/high-rise construction projects will be preferred.
- Strong experience handling contractor and subcontractor billing.
- Should be capable of independently managing project billing and quantity-related activities.
- Immediate joiners will be highly preferred.
- Candidates based in or willing to relocate to Indore are encouraged to apply.
