Position: NLD Transport Network Planning & Design Engineer
Experience: 1–2 Years
Location: Mumbai
We are seeking a Network Planning & Design Engineer to support the design, planning, and optimization of transport networks.
The role involves capacity planning, network expansion, route engineering, and ensuring a scalable and resilient backbone infrastructure.
- Plan and design NLD and metro transport networks.
- Perform capacity planning, traffic analysis, and network optimization.
- Support DWDM, OTN, SDH, MPLS, network expansion projects.
- Prepare HLDs, LLDs, network diagrams, and engineering documentation.
- Analyze network utilization and recommend augmentations.
- Coordinate with Operations, Deployment, Vendors, and Project teams.
- Conduct route diversity and resiliency planning.
- Support feasibility studies and business case preparation.
- Basic knowledge of DWDM, OTN, SDH, IP/MPLS, and fiber networks.
- Understanding of telecom transport network planning and protection schemes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science.
- Exposure to Ciena, Nokia, Cisco, technologies will be an added advantage.
