We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Database Engineer/Administrator to join our team. You will work alongside experienced professionals to maintain, optimize, and secure our databases while gaining hands-on experience with modern database technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining database systems.
- Monitor database performance and ensure high availability.
- Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and reports.
- Troubleshoot database issues and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Maintain database security, user access, and permissions.
- Support application teams with database-related requirements.
- Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in database upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle is a plus.
- Understanding of database design concepts and normalization.
- Basic knowledge of data backup and recovery concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn new database technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Relevant internships, academic projects, or certifications are an advantage but not required.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Knowledge of cloud databases (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Basic understanding of Linux/Windows server environments.
